Under construction
This is the main reason why I haven´t been on the internet and posting on this blogg recently. This and the Euro Cup Fotball. I´ve been busy working on a small house. It´s going to be a storage for bikes, garden tools and stuff. And a working area / guest room.
We bought the house as a wooden lego-piece. It came in pieces with the right meassures and ready to assemble. But I had good help with my sisters husband who´s a contruction worker. He tought me tons of stuff.
It feels good to actually building something with my own hands. You can see that A´s been helping too. He carried a lot of wooden planks and made some money. He´s saving for a new car, one of the race cars he´s missing (he´s got six but he want´s Max Schnell and Shu Todoroki).
V´s happy going down the slide instead.
It´s also great doing a grown up man-thing during the evenings and weekends. Collecting children toys isn´t exactly getting me any grown up- or macho-points. Building a house does. And I need all the points in that sector I could get...

The Superovanlig* Chase is on!
We´ve been waiting for quite a while now. But finally - the chase is on. Janne "Flash" Nilsson, the first of the new Ultimate Chase Cars is out. It´s all over the internet. Or... at least on the Take Five A Day and in an email from my friend Bumper Save:
I don´t know the pricing yet. But I guess it won´t cost much more than a regular car (about 15 USD here in Sweden or maybe 20-25 USD like some of the Deluxe variants cost).
The problem will be to find the car. It sais on the back of the card that it´s limited to 4000 pieces. Ever to be made.
So that would explain why it´s already over 250 USD on E-bay.
I´m packing my sleeping bag, my travelers kitchen and food for a month. I´m going on a tour - destination: all the toy stores in Sweden.
Good thing my vacation´s comming up.
*)Superovanlig is swedish and means extremely rare or super unusual
Hi Anton,I have good news to report! Super Chase Flash has been seen on card for the first time, check it out!
Wow Bumper! Wow! But you´d better hold on to any Superovanlig car you´ll cross.Hopefully this one comes to stores soon. I will do my best to get you one once that happens. Talk to you soon!

Three more...
I´m not so good at blogging theese days.
It´s mostly because of the Euro Cup in football. (Or Soccer as some of you american readers tend to call it).
Sweden had a poor first game at Ukrain and loss 2-1. Then a slightly better game against England but after another loss (2-3) I went so mad I just turned on my computer and went straight out on the internet and bought me a car!
I paid too much but I needed something to calm down to. So Shu Todoroki it was. I don´t know why the swedish net-store has put a white sticker over the "only at K mart" logo - maybe because it´s just not true...
Yesterday I went shopping for midsummer (tomorrow!) Big day in Sweden, there´s a lot of people meaning that we should move our national day to midsummer instead of celebrating some old king and the first constitution that nobody seems to care much of anyway (on june 6).
In the grocery store I found two new willains and since they were cheap (12 USD each) I couldn´t resist.
Victor Hugo is a Zastava Koral - a yoguslavian car infamous for it´s unreliability... In Cars 2 Victor Hugo is the leader of a mafia of unreliable cars. Clever,
I love Vladimir Trunkov. The car is modelled as a ZAZ 968-Zaporozhets. Looks almost like the famous Trabant, from East Germany.
Sweden won it´s last game against France after a spectacular goal from our superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic. You just HAVE TO LOOK!
It made me so darn happy I just turned on the computer, went straight out on the internet and baought me a... no! Just kidding! I have SOME self control left!
Goals reached:
35 out of 35 Rubber Tires Piston Cup Race Cars collected.
11 out of 11 Team Chiefs from Cars 1
Goals left:
28 Pittys from Cars 1 to collect - 7 left
21 Rubber Tires World Grand Prix Race Cars from Cars 2 to collect - 1 left
10 Team Chiefs from Cars 2 to collect - 9 left
6 Ultimate Chace Cars from Cars 2 to collect - 6 left

Even more celebrating
Look who turned up today! With a grin so bad only a mother... car... would love it. O yes - Team HTB Team Chief. Plain and simple - "Chief Chick"
Now, this was the last of the eleven team cheifs from Cars 1 that has been released as diecast models. I´ve got them all!Goals reached:
35 out of 35 Rubber Tires Piston Cup Race Cars collected.
11 out of 11 Team Chiefs from Cars 1
Goals left:
28 Pittys from Cars 1 to collect - 7 left
11 Rubber Tires World Grand Prix Race Cars from Cars 2 to collect - 2 left
10 Team Chiefs from Cars 2 to collect - 9 left
6 Ultimate Chace Cars from Cars 2 to collect - 6 left
Here are all the team cheifs. There are one model that´s more usual among the cheifs:
Chief RPM (no name?), Senior Trax, Ernest B Raykes, Earl Filter and Roman Dunes |
The other model that´s quite usual is the pick up - the three to the left makes you think of the 1992 Ford F150 Regular Cab. The forth car in this model is a bit smaller.
Chief Nitroade, Chief Dinoco, Chief Chick and Chief Bumper Save. |
And then there´s the two coolest chiefs. Hudson Hornet of course but also Cheif Octane Gain.
The oldest cheif. And the largest chief. |
So this is how they look put beside each other. I really like that they didn´t just take five similar cars and just painted them in different colors. It´s made with joy and good feeling for details.

Happy Birthdy V!
He did blow one candle out. That´s better than I thought he could do. Blowing has always been hard for V. |
And suddenly he is three years old. Just like that. So much time lost in worrying and visiting doctors. But that´s just me and my wife I guess. V has always been busy living. Growing. Playing. Just like all the other kids around him.
He was so happy when we sang for him and put down the cake in front of him. Laughing out loud.
He is aware of the koncept now. The koncept of having a birthday. Getting presents. Attention.
I love that he loves it.
The other kids is asking questions now. The kids at kindergarten. His friends. It´s tough to think about. Sometimes I think - this is when it starts. Now they notice that he is different. Now the outside life starts.
But maybe I have underestimated the children of today. I heard from one of his teachers the other day, she told me about an episode she had with one of V´s friends:
- Why doesn´t V speak?
- He speaks with his hands, the teacher answers, refering to V´s quite new progress in sign-language.
- But he can´t answer when I ask if he wants to play!
- But he do! He laughs!
The kid trying to talk to V was silent for a short while. Then she turned to V and said:
- V, I can teach you to speak, and you can laugh! Come on!
