Collecting Cars: The Lemons

All the bad guys from Cars 2 - the gang is called The Lemons. The expression comes from what american and english car buyers usually call a newly bought car that breaks down just after you paid for it.
All the Lemons in Cars 2 are based on real car models that didn´t recieve so good reviews. Fun. At least I think so.

The Leaders of the antagonists are Miles Axelrod and Professor Z:

Then there´s four crime syndicates that work together, four familys of bad and ugly cars. First we have the Pacers. (Based on the AMC Pacer car)

And my favourite family - the Trunkovs. It is not based on the East Gearman car Trabant, which I first thought. I have some realtives in Dresden and they drove one of those plastic (!) cars when we visited them back in 1986. It was quick and dirty and the gasoline smelled of bad bad low quality oil... No, the Trunkovs is based upon ZAZ Zaporozhets (Soviet, Ukraine)

And the last of the bad guys is the Hugo Family. Based upon the (Zastava Koral, Yugoslavia, Serbia) The car is also known under the name Yugo, hence Hugo-family.
