The Boss - would he be a Chief?

Roman Dunes - The No Stall Team Chief
I got a new Team Chief today. Only two left now!

I love the chess squares!

I am such a photo artist!

A chief - and a boss...

I love Bruce Springsteen. I love his music. I love his poetry. I love his concerts and his political view. Right now I listen a lot to his new record Wrecking Ball. And I start to wonder - naturally - what Diecast Car would Bruce be?

He´s like gold to me. And he surely could afford a golden car. But nawwww... He doesn´t like to brag.

The King=The Boss? I could totally picture him in a Plymouth Superbird. Maybe!
This is such a cool Pick Up. It´s so "Hey I´m from America - and you like it!" Like Bruce!

This is a classic beauty. This one could be at the cover of Born In The USA instead of that red baseball cap in his jeans...ass.

"I love you for your Pink Cadillac!" But this - of course - is no Cadillac... But it´s cool anyway!

But this one is a 1975 Cadillac Coupe de Ville. Or Tex Dinoco, as we know him from Cars. Both a Cadillac AND in gold. This is my choice for a Bruce Springsteen Diecast avatar.

Any other suggestions?

Small Error - Great Money?

First of all: I´m not in this for the money.

Yeah. I know - Big surprise. I´ve almost spent "half a vacation" as my wife pointed out to me the other month. Spot on. Even If I´ve sold a few cars with a success I´ve lost almost the same amount selling others. (I spent more buying them than I made selling them).

But when I got my latest car - Carla Veloso, I started thinking maybe I hit the Jackpot.

Look a bit closer - The little plastic error over the eye:

Some people actually collect "error cars" - read more about it on T5

It will probably have to be a greater error to make me a fortune. But I´m not in it for the money. So now I´m happy instead, thinking of that I now lack only three (3) World Grand Prix Racers!

But still - If there´s anyone out there willing to bid on my very exclusive Error Carla - it will be yours for the very reasonable price of 1000 USD. Or the highest bid.

"Today V was the bravest"

Floating - smiling - enjoying
We went swiming in a public bath yesterday. V has been training in water every wednesday for almost a year, the last months together with his grandfather. They both love it. V because it´s fun to be in the water, his grandfather because V is so happy.

It is a wonderful arrangement and me and my wife love that they have this thing together.

But neither of me or my wife has seen V in the water for some time now, we´ve just heard the reports from a very proud grandfather.
So yesterday we went swiming. And yes - V was swiming! In the deep water, with just his armpads and a great smile on his face. He really loved it!

The only problem was that sometimes he laughed too much, being in the water with an open mouth isn´t always the best way. He had some mouthfuls of cold water. But that doesn´t bothered him very much.

A, who has inherit my bathing-coward-genes, was impressed. When we jumped in the car afterwards he said, in a very casual way:
- Today V was the bravest.

I loved him for saying so.
Because it was true and that´s maybe the first time that has happened
But also because A was generous enough to give V credit.

Radiological discoverys

MRI-scan. "Other specific unnormal radiological discoverys in the brain". Looks like small cars to me. V cares a lot for others. That would be the natural discovery. Small things that´s on his mind a lot. At least in my twisted imagination.
We have now notified our insurance company about V´s disease. Or, we did it several months ago, but finally things start to happen.
It turnes out that they´re working with something they refer to as ICD-codes. A specific injury has a specific ICD-code that decides how much damage the injury has made to the person and how much money the insurance company shall pay.
But this lack of mylein that V has is such a rare disease so it´s hard to label it with a corresponding ICD-code.
However, the doctor told us, that there are ICD-codes for almost everything. For instance they actually have a code for those poor souls that eventually will get struck by a metroid.

So now we got a letter from or doctor with V´s full disease in black and white. Tough reading.

  • Specific motoric retardation.
  • Delayed accomplishing of expected physical development.
  • Delayed myelinisation, other specific unnormal radiological discoverys in the brain.
  • Congentinal deformity of the brain, hypomyelinization since birth.

But I like it as well. I like facts. It makes life more understandable. At least a bit more understandable.

Thanx Bumper Save - here they are!

Straight from the US and Bumper Save (place for applause) here´s a package that arrived with the mail yesterday!
Very exciting! Ok, maybe it´s nothing these days, but I don´t care. i think it´s cool to have mail from across the Atlantic Ocean!

Yes, they made it - all three of them. Without a scrath! Good job with the package Bumper Save!

Leak Less Tall, HTB Tall, HTB Wide. Now I got 21 pittys, only 7 more to go!
Well done and thank you Bumper Save - it was a bargain! Only 21 USD for three pittys, that´s half the price for a new car here in expensive Sweden...

Oh the joy that collecting cars can bring - is even more fun when I know they´re from across the Atlantic. Crazy, I know, but I love the idea of one world - collecting cars together.

Ok. Now I´m off to surfing on world famine for 20 minutes just to get real again.

Back from the dead... err... the sick!

Yeah. This blog has now become one of those with the following words "I´m sorry I haven´t been able to post recently but..."
Not good. Not good at all.

But the darn truth is that in the last four weeks at least two of the family members has been sick. It has been like a freaking joke! But not a funny one.

Alright alright, enough with the bellyache (I had actually that too) - we had a few light moments as well.
One morning in particular. A and V woke up first (they always do), I think it was 6.15 in the morning or something like that.
But instead of embarking me and my wifes bed, A took V back to thier room and they started play together. That is something that almost never happens.
A started to teach V colors with one of V´s special toys that we´ve got from the habilitation center.

A asked for a color and V was supposed to pick the right one and put it in the right hole.

Me and my wife lay and listened to them, and they were so cute!

I think A´s patience lasted for a whole 10 minutes, just as long that I almost fell asleep again, and then it was a normal early morning again. But I loved everey one of those 600 seconds. A is such a wonderful big brother sometimes.

It gives me hope and warmth.

Bad business

I sold the Nitrode Team Chief yesterday. It was a good deal. For the buyer.
I forgot to put a "lowest" price on the item at the auction site. So the car went for $1,50.

At that point I'd rather keep it for my kids but too late...

Everything is sick. All is ill.

Since my whole family - including me - have been more or less sick for the last three weeks, I haven´t really had the time for this blog. But I had the time for buying som new cars...
I do not have the energy right now to make a proper post so I just give you som photos. And yes it´s HUGE that I got Lil Torquey Pistons! That means I just have ONE (1) car left to collect in the Rubber Tires Piston Cup Racer-series.
Easy Idle - do you hear me?
I´m coming for you!

And the next big thing will be the Team Chiefs of the World Gran Prix-racers. I got my first now - say hello to Mr Guiseppe Motorosi!

God Damn! Hot looking car!
I had to buy them in a 2-pack. Anyone who want´s to buy a Fransesco?
