Radiological discoverys

MRI-scan. "Other specific unnormal radiological discoverys in the brain". Looks like small cars to me. V cares a lot for others. That would be the natural discovery. Small things that´s on his mind a lot. At least in my twisted imagination.
We have now notified our insurance company about V´s disease. Or, we did it several months ago, but finally things start to happen.
It turnes out that they´re working with something they refer to as ICD-codes. A specific injury has a specific ICD-code that decides how much damage the injury has made to the person and how much money the insurance company shall pay.
But this lack of mylein that V has is such a rare disease so it´s hard to label it with a corresponding ICD-code.
However, the doctor told us, that there are ICD-codes for almost everything. For instance they actually have a code for those poor souls that eventually will get struck by a metroid.

So now we got a letter from or doctor with V´s full disease in black and white. Tough reading.

  • Specific motoric retardation.
  • Delayed accomplishing of expected physical development.
  • Delayed myelinisation, other specific unnormal radiological discoverys in the brain.
  • Congentinal deformity of the brain, hypomyelinization since birth.

But I like it as well. I like facts. It makes life more understandable. At least a bit more understandable.
